A detailed space planning exercise was at the heart of the Ennismore Townhouse project, allowing the design to respond both to the specific needs of the family and the unique characteristics of the property. By carefully analysing how each space would be used day-to-day, we developed a considered plan that supports modern family living while maintaining an elegant and timeless aesthetic.
Central to the interior scheme are bespoke joinery pieces, each designed to interact seamlessly with the rooms they inhabit while enhancing functionality for the people who use them. These custom elements were tailored to optimise storage, organisation, and display, creating spaces that are both practical and visually harmonious. The furniture and cabinetry act as an extension of the architecture, complimenting proportions, sightlines, and circulation within the home.
The interiors were further shaped around the client’s art collection, ensuring that each room felt balanced and curated. A holistic paint scheme was developed in tandem with the natural light patterns throughout the house, enhancing both mood and atmosphere. East-facing rooms, which benefit from softer morning and evening light, are treated with calming, muted tones that encourage relaxation and quiet reflection.
In contrast, west-facing rooms, which capture the strong late afternoon sun, are accented with warmer hues that celebrate the richness of the natural light, creating inviting, luminous spaces.
Every detail of the Ennismore Townhouse project demonstrates an understanding of how light, colour, and custom design interact to support family life.
