A Bespoke Barrow Bar for Contemporary Living
A Feature Element with Purpose
Our bespoke Barrow Bar was designed as a key feature within the contemporary family home at Barrowgate Road. Carefully scaled to match the wider architecture, it feels fully integrated with its surroundings while standing out as a refined centrepiece.
A Balance of Elegance and Craft
The exterior presents a simple, elegant monolithic form. Natural timber doors bring warmth and tactility, paired with striking metallic orb handles. These sculptural details provide subtle contrast and elevate the design. The balance between natural wood and polished metal reflects a harmonious approach to modern furniture, where craftsmanship and proportion remain central.
Beauty and Practicality Combined
Internally, the bar is both functional and beautiful. A high-angled mirror creates a reflective backdrop, amplifying light and enhancing depth within the unit. Functionality is thoughtfully layered: a low pull-out shelf offers easy access for spirits, while a mid-height drawer organises utensils. Above, a robust metal work surface provides a durable and stylish preparation area.
Exceptional Craftsmanship by Benchmark
The piece was manufactured by Benchmark, renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to detail. Their commitment ensured that every joint, finish, and surface was perfectly executed, bringing our design to life with precision.
Clever, Considered Storage
Storage is maximised without compromising the clean aesthetic. Shallow shelving holds everyday glassware, while a top tier of hanging storage showcases feature pieces. Additional glass racks are neatly integrated into the side doors, increasing capacity while maintaining simplicity.
More Than Storage
The result is a tailored piece of architectural furniture. More than a storage unit, the Barrow Bar elevates the home’s social spaces. It blends elegance, proportion, and function to create a statement of modern design.
